Gong Xi Fa Cai! We at CYS Global Remit had an amazing time attending DBS’s annual Chinese New Year Dinner & Dance, and what a night it was! DBS really went all out with stunning décor, festive vibes, and an unforgettable celebration that brought together their partners and friends for an evening filled with connection and, of course, a feast fit for royalty.
Booth Games and Festive Fun
The excitement started early with a series of interactive games that set the tone for the evening! We had a blast spinning the wheel for chances to win prizes and trying their luck at the Pinko Game Booth for adorable plush toys. The Touch Screen Spin the Wheel also kept everyone on their toes. It was a fantastic way to dive into the festive mood! After the games, we were treated to an inspiring Welcome Speech from CEO Mr. Piyush Gupta and Deputy CEO Ms. Tan Su Shan, followed by a high-energy Senior Management Dance that had everyone in great spirits.

A Festive Start: Lion Dance and Lou Hei
The evening kicked off with an electrifying lion dance performance that infused the room with energy and tradition. The rhythmic drumming and vibrant lion costumes set the perfect festive mood. Plus, the God of Fortune mascots made their rounds, bringing good luck and plenty of photo opportunities for everyone!
Our CEO, Ann Wee, and our Chief of Staff, Jesline Ng, represented CYS Global Remit at the event, where meaningful connections, warm reunions, and exciting new introductions were plentiful.
Old Friends, New Connections!
This celebration wasn’t just about the glitz; it was a great opportunity to reconnect and have meaningful conversations. Ann had the pleasure of catching up with many familiar faces, exchanging well-wishes and sharing updates on the exciting things happening at CYS. It truly highlighted the strong business community that DBS has fostered over the years.
One of the evening's highlights was Ann's opportunity to connect with DBS’s top leadership, including CEO Mr. Piyush Gupta and Deputy CEO Ms. Tan Su Shan. For those who may not know, Ms. Tan is going to be appointed CEO of DBS in April 2025, a remarkable journey from an intern to one of the highest roles in the bank. What an inspiring success story!
Lou Hei Festivities!
What’s Chinese New Year without the lively and chaotic Lou Hei? The yusheng toss was a riot—full of cheers, laughter, and ingredients flying everywhere (which is a sign of good fortune, right?). Here’s to an abundance of prosperity, success, and growth in the year ahead!
Food, Fun, and Feasting!
The sumptuous buffet had something for everyone—traditional Chinese delights, international favourites, and enough delicious dishes to keep us going back for seconds (and thirds—no shame here!).
As the night came to a close, we at CYS Global Remit felt proud to be part of such a dynamic and supportive network. We left with full stomachs, wonderful memories, and excitement for the future. A big thank you to DBS for the fantastic hospitality—what a great way to kick off 2025! We’re looking forward to another year filled with exciting collaborations and successes. Huat ah!
