In a celebration of pride and unity, CYS Global Remit hosted a memorable National Day lunch that tantalized the senses and brought us together over a delightful array of dishes. Curated by our Office Facility Management Unit, the menu offered a perfect fusion of traditional flavours and modern culinary techniques, honouring our rich cultural heritage.
Our day started with 🥪 Kaya French Toast 🍞, offering a comforting beginning that energized everyone for a productive day. As lunchtime arrived, the centrepiece was 🍚 Clay Pot Waxed Meat Rice 🍖, featuring Chinese sausages and preserved duck that infused the rice with a smoky, savoury aroma.
Adding luxury to the meal, the 🍲 Braised Abalone & Chicken Pot 🐔 captured the essence of opulent past banquets with its tender abalone and rich broth. For freshness, we served 🥦 Poached Broccoli with Dried Mushroom 🍄, complemented by the earthy mushrooms.
Spice lovers enjoyed 🍆 Stir-Fried Eggplant with Spicy Bean Sauce 🌶️, offering a bold flavour kick, while the 🥗 Home Cooked Lo Han Zai 🍱 celebrated diversity with its mix of vegetables and tofu. Comfort found its way into the meal with 🦀 Stuffed Fish Maw with Crab Soup 🍜, its rich broth warming both heart and soul.
The meal concluded with elegance, as 🍶 Bottled Bird’s Nest 🍵, provided by our CEO, crowned the celebration with its luxurious texture and health benefits. Cookies from overseas were shared, adding an extra touch to this special day.
