A Report by the CYS Global Remit Human Resource Management Unit
On September 20, 2024, CYS Global Remit proudly participated in the highly anticipated IGNITE Career Fair at SIM’s Clementi Campus Atrium, from 11 AM to 4:30 PM. The event, featuring over 50 companies from sectors such as IT, hospitality, finance, and media, offered a unique platform for participants to explore diverse career paths and engage with potential employers.
A Platform for Aspiration and Growth
Designed to empower job seekers, the IGNITE Career Fair provided attendees with direct access to recruiters, industry leaders, and career development resources. Participants interacted with representatives from multinational corporations, SMEs, and innovative startups, creating abundant opportunities for young graduates to explore various career options.
Networking Opportunities for Employers
Beyond engaging with potential candidates, the fair facilitated valuable networking among employers. During quieter periods of student traffic, companies engaged in insightful conversations, sharing insights about their businesses and industry challenges. This exchange enriched the experience and fostered connections among participating employers.
The IGNITE Experience
IGNITE enabled us to connect with a wide array of candidates. We held engaging discussions about CYS and our job opportunities, while also learning about the attendees' backgrounds and aspirations. For those interested in our roles, we arranged follow-up Zoom interviews. By day's end, we had a strong list of potential candidates from various fields of study, paving the way for future hires.
Looking Ahead
As CYS continues to grow and foster career development and professional networking, the IGNITE Career Fair remains crucial for building connections and discovering top talent. Our commitment to nurturing talent and creating opportunities drives our enthusiasm to make IGNITE a regular part of our recruitment strategy. A heartfelt thank you to SIM for the invitation—participating this year was an honor, and we are eager for what’s next!
